Volunteer service

The International Museum Day began on May 18, 1977 and has a history of 42 years this year. The theme of 2018 International Museum Day is "super connected museums: new methods, new public". In order to cooperate with Xuzhou Museum's 5.18 International Museum Day series activities, promote the volunteer spirit of serving the society and contributing to others. Xubo volunteer "Little Sun" lecture hall entered Xuzhou Fengfeng Street Central Primary School. A social education activity with the theme of "Auto History" was brought to the students.

The keynote speaker, Wen Junfang, is an excellent volunteer of Xuzhou Museum and an associate professor of Jiangsu Safety Technology College. He has been engaged in the teaching of automobile for 29 years. He once served as the director of the automobile department of Jiangsu Safety Technology Vocational College. He has rich teaching experience and academic level.

 Through the story of "Xi Zhong made a car", Professor Wen made children understand that the origin of cars is in China; Let us know the history of automobile development through the story of Mrs. Carl Benz's test drive; Through the first car made in New China, let students feel the shock made in China. The small stories about cars in the lecture filled the children with interest. In the interactive part, the children also tried to assemble the car model by themselves. The nearly two hours of lectures were full of fun and teaching. The children began to use their brains.

Teacher Zhou of Weathering Street Central Primary School said that the activity was very successful. Through the new activity mode of volunteers entering the campus, a new form of library-school cooperation, complementary advantages and resource sharing was explored. We hope to carry out more forms of cooperation and joint construction with museums.
