Xuzhou Museum Volunteer shortlisted for the 9th "Join Hands with History — Top 10 Volunteer Stars of Chinese Museums"

      Hao xinyao, an outstanding volunteer of Xuzhou museum, was recently shortlisted as one of the candidates for the 9th "Join Hands with History — Top 10 Volunteer Stars of Chinese Museums". The selection was organized by the China Museum Association and sponsored by the Volunteer Work Committee of the China Museum Association and the Cultural Development Foundation of Ningbo Boyue Museum. Since the launch of the promotion and exhibition in July 2018, a total of 41 volunteers have applied for the top ten volunteer stars, 26 applied for the outstanding volunteer service teams, 17 applied for the outstanding volunteer service projects, and 16 applied for the outstanding volunteer service organization workers. After the preliminary qualification review, a total of 39 of the top ten volunteer stars were selected for the preliminary evaluation. The secretary of the Volunteer Work Committee completed the preliminary evaluation on October 24, 2018. A total of 20 top 10 volunteer stars were shortlisted for the final review.

      Hao xinyao, a computer science major lecturer in the school of information and electrical engineering, Xuzhou Institute of Technology, takes active part in the service of Xuzhou museum volunteer team after participating in the Xuzhou museum volunteer work. Hao always spends his spare time participating in the voluntary explanation service, an upward to more than 300 hours every year.

      Xuzhou museum now is equipped with an united, mature and professional volunteer team with more than 700 registered volunteers, consisting of student volunteers from 12 college associations and 60 social volunteers. They have become an important part of Xuzhou museum's public cultural services and a bridge and bond for the museum to communicate with the society.
