Liu Yuzhu inspects Xuzhou Museum

       Liu Yuzhu, the party member of the Ministry of Culture and the director of the State Administration of Culture Heritage, inspected Xuzhou Museum in 31^st August, accompanied by Gongliang, the party member of Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics and the curator of Nanjing Museum, Liu Jin, the director of Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, Li Yan, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Government of Xuzhou, Zhou Guangchun, the Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government and Gao Chengfu the Director of Xuzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV, Film, Press and publication.

Liu visited the Permanent Exhibition, such as “Metal Hardware and Battle Steed”, “Marvelous Jade of Han Dynasty” and “Ornate Terracotta Figurine” and the special exhibition called “Winged Horse Flying with the Prairie Wind”, and surveyed the public archaeology scene of Tushan Tomb, and listened to the work report of Mengqiang, the deputy curator of Xuzhou Museum. Liu considered that Xuzhou Museum enjoyed the national key cultural relics protection units, provincial and municipal key cultural relics protection units and the main exhibition building. Apart from this exquisite cultural relics, we also have ancient sites, tombs, buildings and so on these culture heritage. Liu affirmed the work of Xuzhou Museum and the idea of “opening with excavation” of Tushan Tomb. He required that we can add in some scientific and technological means in the excavation of Tushan Tomb. He emphasized that we should conscientiously study the indications about culture relics of Chairman Xi and Prime Minster Li and spirit of cultural relics conference; we should clear the tasks and responsibility and effectively strengthen the protection and usage of cultural relics resource. Therefore, we can promote the heritage conservation and utilization to a new stage.
