The Upgrade Project of Deng Yongqing Gallery Began

       Deng Yongqing Gallery is in the first floor of main building of Xuzhou Museum. This room is used to display the calligraphy and painting which were collected by Deng Yongqing. Here holds some other important temporary as well. This exhibition room is 405 m2 with exhibition line of 80 m, and opened to the outside world since May 1999.

       Since 1999, this exhibition room has not been refit. Exhibition windows and floor are fractured; illumination is aging; security protection equipment lags behind, exhibition styles are behind the times; this room can not match other rooms well. All in all, this room urgently need to rebuild and upgrade.

       After preliminary planning and designing, experts’ judgment, bidding and investing procedures, the restoration of Deng Yongqing Gallery officially started, from June to August in 2016. After completing the renovation work, the exhibition space, exhibition window, illumination system, constant temperature and humidity, safety and prevention, all these aspects will be greatly improved. This exhibition room will meet the need of displaying of some ancient calligraphy, paintings and cultural relics, and up to the advanced standard.
