On December 7, 2022, Xuzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism organized and held the "Demonstration Meeting of Conceptual Design Scheme of Xuzhou Museum Reconstruction and Expansion Project" in Xuzhou Museum. Li Minchang, Vice President of the Nanjing Museum, Qiu Yongsheng, Researcher of the Nanjing Museum, Cao Zhijun, Former Curator of the Nanjing Museum, Luo Pingjia, Dean of the School of Architecture and Design of the China University of Mining and Technology, Li Yinde, Honorary Curator of the Xuzhou Museum, and other experts were invited to attend the meeting, which was chaired by Han Feng, Deputy Director of the Xuzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism.
The experts listened to the report of the conceptual design plan of the design unit, and fully discussed it. They agreed that the plan met the overall requirements of the reconstruction and expansion project of Xuzhou Museum, and the building renovation form was novel, reflecting the concept of green environmental protection, taking into account the coordination of traditional culture and the surrounding environment; The exhibition has rich contents and perfect system. This scheme not only meets the needs of museum exhibition, but also makes the quarries and other cultural relics protection units of the Han Dynasty well protected and utilized. Suggestions are put forward to further optimize the facade design of the West Hall building, optimize the exhibition space of the West Hall, and make full use of the space of Tomb 3 of Tushan.
