Recently, the 2018 national primary and middle school students research practice education project evaluation results published. Based on the recommendation of the central authorities and the provincial educational administrative departments, and through the evaluation of experts, on-site inspection and comprehensive evaluation of the camps, 377 units are proposed to be named as "National Practical Education Base for Primary and Middle School Students”, and 26 units as "National Practical Education Camps for Primary and Middle School Students”. Xuzhou museum was selected as one of the 10 units selected in Jiangsu province.
As the birthplace of the Han culture, Xuzhou museum has been committed to carrying forward the traditional culture for many years, and has been actively establishing a national base for the research and practice education of primary and secondary school students. Based on the rich cultural resources and perfect infrastructure in Xuzhou area, Xuzhou museum innovates the research and practice education courses, creates a series of high-quality courses in line with the development of students' quality, cultivates an excellent team of research and study instructors, and carries out various research and study activities all year round.
In recent years, the ministry of education and relevant ministries and commissions have attached great importance to the curriculum setting of practical education for primary and secondary school students, and jointly issued several papers to promote this work. The curriculum guidance outline of comprehensive practical activities in primary and secondary schools issued in September 2017 clearly points out that comprehensive practical activities start from students' real life and development needs, and cultivate students' comprehensive quality of interdisciplinary practical courses by means of exploration, service, production and experience. It is a compulsory course stipulated by the national compulsory education and the curriculum plan of ordinary senior high school, which is set up side by side with the subject curriculum. It is also an important part of the basic education curriculum system, comprehensive implemented from primary school to high school.

In order to carry on the research and practice education activities for primary and middle school students and solve these problems, based on the scientific value of the Han cultural heritage in Xuzhou area, our museum has designed the research and learning courses with the themes of history, archaeology, culture and intangible cultural heritage, the assessment objectives and team activities, and Tushan public archaeology, exhibition hall exploration, art experience and so on. Theoretical courses, outdoor practice, manual production, scientific experiments, and life skills are carefully integrated into the courses.
