After careful planning and organization, the public archeologists of the "Friends of Xu Bo" of the Xuzhou Museum assembled in the early morning of December 24.
First stop: Tomb of King Chu of Beidong Mountain. The Beidong Mountain excavated in 1986 is a large tomb of the Chu King in the Western Han Dynasty. The large scale, the complex structure and the unique shape attract everyone to stop and watch. Friends of Xu Bo praised the strange outbuildings in particular. Later, they came to a stone room tomb southeast of the Chu King Tomb of the Beidong Mountain, and it was said to be the Tomb of the Emperor Sima Yi of the Spring and Autumn and Song Dynasties. Everyone enjoyed the stone carvings on both sides of the tomb with great interest and entered the burial chamber for viewing. Although it was not developed, the burial chamber was dark, and with the glimmer of a flashlight, it could not stop everyone's interest. Everyone said that Chinese tombs are a kind of human inspiration Cultural continuation of feelings and memories.
Second stop: Bai Ji Han portrait stone tomb. The tomb is the most well-preserved portrait tomb in the Eastern Han Dynasty in Xuzhou, with rich stone carvings and superb carving skills. Many of Xu Bo's friends who loved Han portrait stones showed surprise and were totally intoxicated ...
Third stop: Jiawangmiao Taizi site. The ruins of Miaotaizi are the key archeological excavations of our museum this year. Visiting the archeological site is a special benefit for senior members and a highlight of this trip. Tian Erwei from the Department of Archeology explained to everyone on site. The Miaotaizi site is a settlement of the Western Zhou Dynasty. Large areas of braised soil particles, pottery debris and animal bones can be seen on the surface. The most important discovery was the first time that a relatively large discovery was made in Xuzhou. The complete ruins of the townhouses in the late Western Zhou Dynasty ... Everyone touched and listened with zero distance: the tombs, the excavation and reorganization of the ruins restored the true appearance of thousands of years ago, and passed down the civilization. Retaining the roots is a physical testimony of the splendid history of Xuzhou area for thousands of years. At the same time, it also unveiled the mystery of archeology for everyone, enhanced public understanding of archeology, and experienced the hardships of archeologists.
