"Haihunhou" is a hot search term on the Internet in recent years. It originated from the excavation of the Haihunhou site of the Han Dynasty in Nanchang. It is said to be the best preserved cultural relic found in China so far. The internal structure is complete with the clear layout of cemetery parks and city ponds. Abundant relics were unearthed. In May 2016, it was selected as one of the six major archeological discoveries in 2015.
According to the opinion of the expert group of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology quickly established a team to conduct large-scale and comprehensive excavation of the cemetery, and then excavated three other tombs. After five years, significant progresses have been made. The first complete Liehou cemetery in the Western Han Dynasty was revealed and more than 10,000 unearthed Cultural relics of high historical, artistic, and scientific value were found.
What treasures are there in Haihunhou’s tomb? Why are so many treasures buried in the tomb? What exquisite stories are there in the archeological process?
