The content of the Lecture:
As the important activities of the 1st Exhibition of Artistic Synaesthesia in China and the Parallel Session in Xuzhou, Professor Macaili of Spain and artist Xiong Ninghui of Beijing will give us the lecture respectively: “Synaesthesia and Creativity——The Research and Application of Occidental Synaesthesia in Interdisciplinary Field”, “Artistic Synaesthesia in China ——The Synaesthesia in Traditional Art and Our Research”. Combining with the 10 years experience in the International Art City Foundation, they will give us a vivid explanation of synaesthesia, and tell us the function, meaning and application of synaesthesia and the data collection of the Chinese synaesthesia text and the practice of developing the creativity. All the research result of art synaesthesia of Chinese scholar will be introduced to the west.

The Introduction of the Lecturer:
Professor Macaili

  The executive director of International Art City Foundation; the PhD Professor of Academy of Art, University of Granada; the executive director and the director of Culture Exchange and Research Department of Spanish Art City Foundation. She began the related research of synaesthesia from 1980s. At the same time, she also researched in the field of visual music image, prints and synthetic new material.
Professor Macaili is the forerunner of the research and extension of synaesthesia in Europe. She planned and hosted the 5th International Conference of Synaesthesia. She was the only one who arrived the height of bring the synaesthesia research to the interdisciplinary field, and had a wide range of cooperation with universities and institutions of nearly 40 countries. Her synaesthesia project has been applied in the courses, and hosting the international competition of visual music art and organizing the international interdisciplinary research. In 2004, Professor Macaili presided over the edit of one of the most important work in the field of synaesthesia until now: “Synaesthesia: the foundation of Theory, Art and Science.”
  Professor Macaili’s artistic career includes more than 200 domestic and international art exhibition and award-winning of paintings and prints. The museums which has been cooperated with her includes Amy Taraji Museum in St Petersburg, the Russian St. Domingo Museum of Modern Art, the Minsk Museum of Modern Art, the Spanish National Museum of Literature Art and Spanish Print Art Museum. Her awards and honers includes the first prize of the 4th Spanish Painting, Prints Exhibition, the first prize if Italy Sunlary International Contemporary Art Exhibition, the Italy Gueret Palme d’Or and the Spanish Royal Fine Art Award.
