The content of the Lecture
The Bamboo Slip of Liye is the most important bamboo slip discovery after the Bamboo slip of Shui Hudi, and also the foremost archaeological founding of Qin Culture in 21st century. Currently, there are about thousand thesises about the research of the Bamboo Slip of Liye, including Li Xueqin and Xing Yitian those experts of bamboo slip of Qin Dynasty. The Bamboo Slip of Liye, as the documental files of Qianling county of Dongting Jun of Qin Dynasty, mainly recorded the administrative affairs of the local government. Do this documental files of border government can give us an all-new historical appearance of the great Qin Dynasty? You yifei will lead us to find Qin Shi Huang in the rigorous text research and tough field work. This is a historical attempt which seem from small to large, scanned from local to central, combined text and field, microcosm and macrocosm. In addition, this attempt will be a new start which bring the top achievement of historical research to public archaeology and the folk.
The Introduction of the Lecturer:
You Yifei is now the assistant professor of History College of Zhongxing University. He achieved his doctor degree in History College of Taiwan University and his post-doctor degree in History and Language Institute of Academia Sinica. He has a long-term access to History College of Peking University and Yuelu Academy of Hunan University. His major is the history of Warring States period and Qin and Han Dynasties. His doctoral thesis is “County System Reform from Warring States period to Han Dynasty”. He has published nearly 30 papers in “Collected Papers of History and Language Institute of Academia Sinica”, “History Journal of Taiwan University”, “New History”, “Slip and Silk”, and “Historical Geography”.
