Gao Qipei (1672-1734) has the courtesy name of Weizhi, and pseudonym of Qieyuan, Qiedaoren, or Nancun. His ancestors migrated from Gaomi, Shandong to Tieling (today's Tieling, Liaoning), and became subordinate to Bordered Yellow Banner of Han Army. He was engaged in finger painting, including landscapes, birds and flowers, and figures. This painting depicts the artistic conception of Huang Chengyan'sLiangfu Poem in the novelRomance of the Three Kingdoms. It is a boutique of Gao's finger paintings.
