Wu Weiye (1609-1672), whose courtesy name was Jungong and pseudonym was Meicun, used to live in Kunshan, Jiangsun, and was then relocated in Taicang, Jiangsu. He was engaged in poems, and adept at calligraphy and painting. This scroll of running script combines the styles of Yan Zhenqing and Zhao Mengfu, and represents the interest and charm of Yan Zhenqing's calligraphy workDuo Bao Ta. It is Wu's calligraphy of his own style.
