◇ Collection Name:Silver Seal of "Chu Ji Wei Yin" with Turtle-Shaped Knob
◇ Historical date:The Western Han Dynasty
◇ Collection Size:Total height 1.5cm, seal side 2.3×2.3cm
◇ Collection Source:King of Chu Tomb in Western Han Dynasty, Lion Mountain
The seal has a bridge-shaped knob and a square stamp quad. There isn't any record about "Ji Wei" in annuals. Scholars think "Ji Wei" is a cavalry commander, as recorded in Book of Han that Li Guang, who is well-known as the "Flying General", was "honored as cavalry commander". This seal indicates that there were cavalry commanders in Chu Kingdom in Western Han Dynasty, and the silver seal represents its official rank equal to the prefecture chief.
